Dreamt and dreamt and dreamt and dreamt last night crazy vivid dreams. In one of them, we were at the beach together, enjoying the sun and heat when I noticed that you had what looked like single baby english spinach leaves or basil leaves growing all over your back in evenly spaced intervals - 5 across and 5 down. I couldn't believe noone had said anything to you about this. I felt embarrassed and sad for you. And then I started picking them off. That was such a weird feeling. It was so cool that you didn't seem bothered at all. Can't wait for that first time enjoying the beach with you again!

Today I also want to acknowledge Gavin Larkin and RUOK? Day - a brilliant concept he and his brothers came up with in memory of their own father, who sadly took his life. Gavin is fighting his own enormous battle right now - he is not very well at all. I send him and his family all my love & support. And my utmost respect.

feeling kinda low and blue today as i think of my friend who is facing the end
of his time here with us and realising how hard it is i find it to talk about death
and how the people around me also find it just as hard.
we speak around the matter so often. i thought i had come further along with my
feelings about death, but it still seems a very difficult thing to process.
i still cling to the hope of a miracle happening for my friend - am i pollyanna or
am i optimistic???
and even though my friend is still here with us, i feel the sadness of his passing
already and it's crushing.

You have made me smile - who is challenging whom?
In homage to your 1st posting which I naturally couldn't help but see,and my love of all things "wood", I share with you a place 2 minutes from where I am sitting.
touch wood........

enchanted forest

ok
so finally after two years you want to make this active
are you really up for it?
i challenge you to post everyday this week, because i think if
something is worth doing, then do it everyday.
also, i realise that i can't stick to things unless i go for it.
it's one of my limitations
but it could prove fruitful if i/we stick to it.
to keep it interesting for us, let's think of this as an
experiment! that way we can see what happens, without any real
idea of where its going.
because i thumb my nose to double blind randomised trials
or experiments in general - purely because i believe
1. not all things can be tested
2 the observer influences everything it observes - therefore
there can never be a pure control
it means we can keep changing the rules, the style, the layout,
whatever - its freeing and will be conducive to participation
which lets be real, we both need to get a grip with
and that way we don't have to get stuck on getting it right,
thinking it has to look PERFECT or we aren't going to start
or post at all
which is another limitation of mine i am trying to overcome
so i am going to create this weeks rules
1. we have to post without having seen what the other posted
2. the post can be created from whatever resource base we choose
i will be surprised if you don't use your own photographs b/c you
love taking them and have hard drives full of images as well
for me i don't know
at week's end lets look at the body and see if there was a parallel
or not
and then write about what parallels we did/didn't see
i'm ready

Here Goes Then......
We are twin sisters residing on opposite sides of the planet from one another. With this blog we wish to investigate any parallels that might be happening in our lives as well as using this space as a record for all the weird and wonderful things we undertake.
We hope to share with you as we share with each other, the delightful and the mundane and anything and everything in between that moves us or evokes an emotional response in us.
Come on this journey with us........we talked about this at the beginning of 2009 when we set this blog up, and have yet to make a post.
This week we will actually begin in earnest. We are not sure of the format this blog will take, and so we'll leave it to itself and see how it develops. Let's see where it takes us......
