The Beatles and their music have made a huge impact on me and how I see the world. I am so grateful I had access to their albums while growing up. I scrutinised the artwork and the lyrics. They were so incredibly cool and clever. Their music makes my heart sing. Their later work talks mostly to me. For me they sang about love and freedom and individuality. I felt like they had seen the light and I wanted to walk the same path. Here are a couple of my favourites.

the world is changing, like it always has and always will. it seems this year, individuals found their voices and found like minds and with the help of all the new technologies, were able to band together like never before. the arab spring will go down in history as more than just a couple of arab nation revolutions. it has encouraged people from all over the globe to speak out and loudly about the things they don't like or find unjust. wikileaks and julian assange may well have even been the impetus for those revolutions. i am all for transparency. and i am all for making the world a better and fairer place. it seems like there are more of us who think this way than not. we are living in exciting times.

here is the declaration of the occupation of new york city  - big things are happening right now in the US. this could change things up BIG time and quickly. we can only hope so.....

even though i sit here in a tiny village far from NYC i give my full support.

today is also the day of REUNIFICATION of Germany. the day the wall came down 20 years ago. many people thought that day would never happen either.

Remembering all those brave souls who rebelled for a revolution in their lands and for all those still struggling under oppression.
2011 and The Arab Spring has been a huge reminder that things can change and change quickly when we all unite together.
